Zaintee ("we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this Privacy Policy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use our website and our AI content-generation service (the "Service"), how we use it, who we share it with — including the third-party AI model providers that power generation — and the choices you have.
By using the Service you consent to the practices described here. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please do not use the Service.
1. What we collect
Data you give us
- Account data — your email address and a hashed password when you register, plus your name and profile details you add later.
- Inputs — the prompts, briefs, and descriptions you type to generate storyboards, images, and videos. Anything you write in an Input is collected and processed to provide the Service.
- Brand assets — brand kits you create (names, colors, fonts, logos) and website URLs you submit for brand extraction.
- Reference media — images you upload to guide generation.
- Generated content — the storyboards, scenes, images, and videos the Service produces for you, stored under your account.
- Transactions — records of credit purchases and how credits are spent, including payment references from our payment providers.
- Correspondence — records of emails or messages you send us.
Data collected automatically
- Usage and log data — requests, pages viewed, operations performed, and timestamps, used to operate, secure, and debug the Service.
- Device data — IP address, browser type, operating system, and similar technical identifiers.
- Session data — authentication tokens stored in your browser's local storage to keep you signed in. Administrator accounts additionally register trusted devices after a second-factor check.
What we send to AI providers — the important part
Zaintee itself does not use your Inputs or generated Outputs to train models.
Cookies and tracking
We keep this deliberately boring: the Service uses browser local storage for your session token and strictly necessary cookies for security. We do not run third-party advertising trackers, behavioral advertising, or cross-site analytics. If that ever changes, this section will be updated before it ships.
2. How we use your data
- Providing the Service — turning your Inputs into storyboards, scenes, images, and videos.
- Transmitting your Inputs and uploaded media to our AI generation partners for inference.
- Processing credit purchases and keeping an auditable log of credit spending.
- Sending transactional email — verification links, receipts, security notices, and important service changes.
- Securing the Service — rate limiting, fraud and abuse prevention, and enforcing our terms.
- Operating team workspaces — showing your name and content to members of teams you join or administer.
- Improving the Service — analyzing aggregate, de-identified usage patterns. We may re-identify your account with stored Inputs when debugging a problem you report.
3. Who we share it with
- AI generation partners — your Inputs and uploaded reference media are sent to the third-party providers that power our text, image, and video generation, under their own data terms.
- Infrastructure providers — hosting, database, and CDN/storage providers (including the service that hosts your generated media files) that process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality.
- Email delivery — our transactional email provider (currently ZeptoMail) receives your email address to deliver verification and notification emails.
- Payment providers — when you buy credits, our payment partners (such as Zynle) process your payment details directly; we receive transaction confirmations, not your card number.
- Your team — if you use a shared workspace, team members can see content and activity inside that workspace.
- Legal — we may disclose data where required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Zaintee, our users, or the public.
We do not sell your personal data.
4. Your rights and choices
- Access and correct — review and update your profile data from your account page.
- Delete your content — delete projects and generated assets from within the app.
- Delete your account — email privacy@zaintee.com from your account address. Deletion removes your personal data except what we must keep for legal, billing, or compliance reasons. This cannot be undone.
- Object or restrict — where your local law gives you rights to object to or restrict processing, email us and we will honor them to the extent the law requires.
- Opt out of marketing — use the unsubscribe link in any promotional email. Transactional email (verification, receipts, security) cannot be opted out of while your account is active.
Because your Inputs are sent to third-party model providers at generation time, we cannot retrieve or delete data from a provider once it has been transmitted to them — exercise your choices (like not submitting sensitive Inputs) before generating.
5. Data security
We use HTTPS in transit, hash passwords rather than storing them, encrypt administrator second-factor secrets at rest, and scope every account's data access to its owner. No method of transmission over the internet is fully secure — you are responsible for keeping your password and verification links confidential.
6. Third-party services
The Service links to and relies on third-party platforms — AI generation partners, payment processors, email delivery, and CDN storage. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, which we encourage you to review. This policy applies only to data collected by Zaintee.
7. Retention
We keep your account data, projects, and generated media for as long as your account is active. Content you upload or generate is retained until you delete it or close your account. Media delivered through our CDN may persist in caches for a limited period after deletion. We retain transaction and audit logs as required for billing, security, and legal compliance.
8. Eligibility
The Service is offered to users who are 18 years of age or older. By using it you represent that you are at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. If you are not, do not use the Service.
9. Data transfers
Your data may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence, and Inputs sent to our AI generation partners may be processed in the United States and wherever those partners operate. By using the Service you consent to these transfers.
10. Governing law
This Privacy Policy and any dispute arising from it are governed by the laws of the Republic of Zambia, except where applicable privacy law provides rights that cannot be varied by contract.
11. Contact
Questions, requests, or complaints about this policy or your data: email privacy@zaintee.com. We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on a request.
